XR / AR / VR Designer - Programmer

Digital design and programming are my passion, they allow me to express both my creative and analytical mind while using seemingly disparate tools and elements: programming and art, technology and feeling, left and right brain. I began in the world of programming, soon my visual mind led me into graphic design, motion graphics, web design, 3D, culminating in its logical synthesis: XR.

I’m a founding member of XR Miami, a community of developers and creators from South florida. I’m also the Lead AR designer for Before Its Too Late, a nonprofit climate action prototyping lab founded out of MIT to leverage arts & technology to awaken and unite people to take action to solve the climate crisis. Our AR murals and experiences raising awareness for Climate Change have been featured in the Miami Herald, PBS News-hour, The New Yorker Magazine, NBC6, DecoDrive, NBC10.

I love to collaborate creatively and use my skills to synergize with other creatives. I’m a true believer in alchemy and how the whole can become greater than the sum of its parts. For several years now I’ve collaborated with the Moksha Arts Collective to create a virtual space to showcase visionary art and experiment with VR as a social platform for artists and art. The Moksha VR gallery is currently hosted in VRChat.

With every new XR project I always try to push the boundaries of what is possible and apply the latest technology to solving a problem. For a recent AR mural that we developed for the city of North Miami, we were able to create a virtual butterfly garden in front of the AR mural. This “digital” butterfly garden surrounded the user with flying butterflies and insects you could touch, examine and then capture, so that you could then match them to signs around the garden. For this project we leveraged the latest IOS and Android technologies for both image recognition and ground plane detection, to create a magical seamless experience between the real world and the digital world.

Expertise: AR development for IOS and Android, VR world building, Facebook Spark AR experiences, UI/UX design, concept design, programming C#, Javascript, multimedia, 3D and 2D animation. .
